Saxony And Lange Precision Watch Exhibition In The Lens Of The Hometown Of Craftsmen

A unique exhibition-‘Hometown of Craftsmen: German Saxony and Lange Precision Watch Exhibition under the lens’ will open in Shanghai on April 1, 2017. The exhibition is sponsored by the Saxony precision watch brand Lange. It specially selected more than 80 Saxony-themed photographs by Lang Xiaowei, a famous contemporary Chinese photographer, and more than 40 watches by Lange, and fully presented Saxony civilization and Lang with unique clues. In order to bring a unique cultural experience to Lange collectors and enthusiasts in East China, Lange will host ‘Hometown of Craftsmen: The Saxony and Lange Precision Watch Exhibition in Germany’ in Shanghai in April 2017. At that time, Saxony under the lens of Pang Xiaowei and Lange 1815, LANGE 1, SAXONIA and other watches will be unveiled in 5 different themed exhibition halls. Visitors can enjoy the wonderful scenery of Lange’s hometown of Saxony and appreciate its spiritual and cultural features, so as to understand and understand the brand’s historical heritage, rich cultural connotation and value, and superb watchmaking skills. To promote Saxony civilization and precision watchmaking culture, this exhibition will be open to the public at the same time.

According to the shooting theme of Wu Xiaowei’s photographic works, the exhibition will consist of five parts: ‘First Arrival to Saxony’, ‘Florence on the Elbe’, ‘Humanities and Art Treasures’, ‘Langer’s Hometown’, and ‘Saxony Legends’. Visitors will have the opportunity to trace the origins of ‘Florence on the Elbe’-the music, literary and architectural mecca of Dresden, and the capital of science and precision instruments-through an informative audio tour. Discover the traces of Lange in an art treasure. What deserves special attention is that the ‘Legends of Saxony’ section will review the legendary life of Mr. Walter Lange through precious photographs and materials. Walter Lange is the fourth generation member of the Lange family and a revival of contemporary Lange. His legendary experience is closely linked to Lange’s wonderful and twisty history. The loving elder died on January 17, 2017, at the age of 92. The series of portraits of Mr. Walter Lange, taken by Mr. Wu Xiaowei, is the last formal portrait of the Saxon legend during his lifetime, which is of special significance.
