At this year’s Baselworld Watch & Jewellery Show, Rolex launched the new Greenwich II watch, which includes this unique meteorite face ‘Pepsi Circle’. The design of the meteorite surface and the iconic bezel create a different style. At the same time, this watch is designed for intercontinental travel. In addition to the traditional hour, minute and second hands, the Greenwich II also has a separate 24-hour hand and a 24-hour graduated outer ring. The 24-hour hand shows the reference time in the first time zone (such as the time of residence), and the hour can be read on the outer scale. When traveling, travelers can learn the local time through traditional indicators on the dial.

Each meteorite dial presents a different quality of light, and the unique Rolex dial makes the watch easier to identify. The hour markers and hands are made of 18ct gold with long lasting luster. Rolex designs and manufactures each Rolex dial in its own factory building. Most of the processes are performed by hand to perfect it.

Compared to the popular steel Rolex in the market, precious metal Rolex is a ‘threshold’ that distinguishes it from steel Rolex. The price of the steel model is relatively low (public price), but it is also difficult to chase. So powerful watch friends began to switch to precious metal models. In the precious metal material, platinum is relatively low-key, and it has become the object of choice.
Luminous layer time scale
The watch uses a cleverly designed independent time jumper. The wearer can easily adjust the time through the winding crown without affecting the operation of the minutes and seconds. Therefore, at any time, the traveler can read the departure time and the time at the same time to ensure accurate operation.

Rolex has its own foundry to develop high-quality 18ct gold alloy. By mixing different amounts of silver, copper, platinum or palladium, different types of 18ct gold can be refined: gold, pink gold or white gold. All raw materials are smelted from extremely pure metals. Before gold forming, they must be carefully inspected by advanced equipment in their own laboratory. Each process is meticulous. Rolex has always been pursuing perfection since the beginning of production.
