The watch has a diameter of 40 mm and is moderate in size for easy wearing. The stainless steel case with only 9.6 mm adds a touch of thinness to the wrist. Coupled with anti-glare and anti-wear sapphire crystal, it does not hinder reading even under strong light.
The unique craftsmanship of the Athenian watch is obvious in the large fire enamel dial. The simple and generous streamlined design and the large blue fire enamel dial color make the dial a translucent delicate quality. At 6 o’clock, there is a small second hand and a circular calendar window display. The wearer can easily adjust the date forward and backward, which is a major achievement of the mechanical watch. Made by Donzé Cadrans, an enamel craftsman in the Athenian Watch Group. At present, only a handful of artisans have mastered this craft that originated in the 17th century, and ‘The Original Gold Small Second Watch’ is the best example of this extremely challenging art.
The crown of the watch is inlaid with sapphire, and it is engraved with the logo of Athens, which has a classic atmosphere. With a blue leather strap and pin buckle, the watch adds a touch of elegance.
The watch is driven by the UN-320 automatic winding movement. From design to production, the movement includes the famous silicon hairspring and anchor escapement of the Athenian watch. It is completely completed by the watch factory. Athenian Watch was the first to discover that the silicon material has the function of improving accuracy and durability. It pioneered the use of silicon parts in the manufacture of mechanical watches, leading the trend of silicon material reform.
